Meet Virginia

Hello there my faithful readers. Welcome to another one of my musings.

BloggerBot isn't working. Erg. And I was going to put a lot of pictures up tonight. Oh well. I'll try again later.

Last night was Nicole and Claires last time @ church. They're leaving tomrrow for NH. It was funny in a sad way, Nicole was so hyper last night, like, annoyingly happy so that she wouldn't start crying. Oh well.

I had a weird dream. but I'm not going to tell you about it cause it was tjust too weird.

Terri is dead. And on the news the pope getting last rites was more important than her death!! How pityful!! Dude. One reporter called it a right to die campaign, I think it was more like a right to live campaign. Oh well.

Well, there's my musings for this evening.

Farewell.

The Gallivanting Maunder

The Gallivanting Maunder

I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR -- U2

I have climbed highest mountain
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you

I have run
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you

But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for

I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her fingertips
It burned like fire
This burning desire

I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone

But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for

I believe in the kingdom come
Then all the colors will bleed into one
Bleed into one
Well yes I’m still running

You broke the bonds and you
Loosed the chains
Carried the cross
Of my shame
Of my shame
You know I believed it

But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for...

Tension is like a passing note.....

That kinda doesn't make sense, but in a way it does.

Anyway. I use that word entirely too much. Sigh... Well.

Yesterday (Friday) we went to the park. Corrie and Ernie were this, which was so nice b/c I haven't seen them in ages! But it was fun, we hung out, and did a little bit of running (Ernie did it al the way around, Corrie and I made it like and 8th.), played some 4-square, and a little basketball. It was nice. I got 4 points!! So my highest! ;-) Gotta love it!

It really seems like Spring is here....I am so happy. I love Spring. And Fall, and Winter and Summer. Dude, why must I be so indecisive? I guess I just go wit da flow! Sometimes. Other times I am totally neurotic and obessive compulsive. Sigh...life's though, get over it. That's what I keep telling other people, I guess I should listen to it for myself!!

Sarah wiped out on her bike today. She comes home and there's blood running down her chin. So sad. Poor Pookie. She's ok now...her face is scraped up and her lip is swollen (sp?) but I think she'll heal.

Bikes are so dangerous! I cannot begin to count the times I wiped out on my bike and messed myself up. And it's not like pads or a helmet would have prevented anything. I mean, ok, I'm there speeding around the neighborhood in barefeet and shorts, hows a helmet supposed to protect my toes? Yeah, ok, thats what shoes are for. But hello! This is me! I never wore shoes unless I HAD to, like to church, and I'd take them off there!! Ha! Mr Chip will still talk about when I was little and would run around the church barefoot! My childhood was a mess. I'm surprised that I have made it this far without something really harmful happening to me. All the times I have come just that close to something happening. Once I almost got swept down a river, I've never broken a bone (that I know of), but there have been times where I came close. Shoo wee. But when something does happen to me, it is going to be one big grand daddy of an accident. Oh well.

I've been rambling....it's not like y'all need to know about how accident prone I've been.

Well, have to go eat supper. Food is good! I love food! ;-)

Have a good day!

Later.

An update!!

The Gallivanting Maunder

Basically I had a wonderful weekend.

On Saturday Kate and I went to our guys very last basketball game. Sadly, they lost by that much! They could have won it! All they needed was a 3 and a 2 to win. They got the 3, but then they kept fouling the other team. Sigh....anyway. We get there, and there is Whitney sitting in there with Miss Ann! And there is Aaron out there playing !! Yea! So it was just great seeing them. The biys are so big! Agh....and cute! My word. Anyway, after the game we stood around talking for a while,a dn then mama and I did some errands. Came home. That was Saturday.

Yesterday was fun. I went to church, then over to Kate and Sams with Nicole and Claire and Stace and Becky. It was so fun. We laughed so hard. took tons of pictures again. Honestly, whenever I'm with Kate and Sam I fill up my memory card on the camera! We have a larger one, so I guess i Should just go ahead and switch the two around.

Anyway....over all, I am rather cheerful. Kinda weird. But it's nice.
Well, good bye all.

Don't Dream It's Over

Sixpence None The Richer - Don't Dream It's Over Lyrics

Lyrics:
There is freedom within, there is freedom without

Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup

There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost

But you'll never see the end of the road

While you're traveling with me

Hey now, hey now

Don't dream it's over

Hey now, hey now

When the world comes in

They come, they come

To build a wall between us

We know they won't win

Now I'm towing my car, there's a hole in the roof

My possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof

In the paper today tales of war and of waste

But you turn right over to the T.V. page

Now I'm walking again to the beat of a drum

And I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart

Only shadows ahead barely clearing the roof

Get to know the feeling of liberation and relief

Hey now, hey now

Don't dream it's over

Hey now, hey now

When the world comes in

They come, they come

To build a wall between us

Don't ever let them win

Nicole and me on Friday night Posted by Hello

Alas, for I am Undone

Actually, I'm quite fine. And very much together. Oh well.

Last night was fun. Today was interesting.

Last night we had a party. Instead of going to the prom we hung out @ home with a few friends, ate tons of food and had an absolute blast! We had 6 girls over, and watched Kate and Leopold and the Village. So much fun. And I love both of those movies. But we all had a good time.

Today was weird. I woke up. That's pretty normal. Then Tim Hopkin calls and asks if Becky and I can A.R. a game in like and hour and a half. We're like ok. So there we were A.R-ing and making money today. Never would of thought it. But anyway, this was our first time doing any challanege games. I liked it, those kids are agressive!! It was crazy! But fun. the wind was really blowing though. And I got a sunburn. Which I do not like.

Another thing I do not like, is that Carolina lost to Georgia Tech this afternoon. By 3 points....that is so close.

Well, good bye.

Life as we know it--or do we?

LarryBoy is awesome!!

Ok, I really fail to understand how some people will just give up their personality so that they can imatate a shallow, rather annoying movie charature. I don't have anything agenst Nepolean Dynamite. It was a funny movie, fun to watch, but it wasn't very "life-like" Not any life that I know of as a homeschooled student. Which, brings me to another point. Why is a "public school" mmovie such a big hit in this homeschool group? It's like, even in the homeschool group, the people I know, it's not cool to be homeschooled. So, when someone is dicing say, me, b/c I am "such a homeschooler," they are, in fact, dicing themselves. A little bit neurotic I think! Besides, what, pray tell, is wrong with being such a homeschooler? I believe that I hae become a somewhat well rounded individual. But, I'm not done being shaped into what I may one day be. So, it's ok for me to still be not quite ok. At least that's my excuse!

Well, later y'all. Keep it real.
Laura
